Bekhterev’s disease or ankylosing spondylitis is a particular form of bone disease when there is more collagen than normal in the bones and it is based on an autoimmune process.

The disease is chronic and like every such disease needs care and attention about the lifestyle.

Here are my advices:

  1. Herbal therapy

The procedures for removal of minerals using alkaline infusions of coltsfoot, marsh cinquefoil, sunflower’s root, dyer’s madder, goose grass, field horsetail, as well as chicken and turkey bile are known in herbal treatment.

One month after that the organism is oxidized by ferments of bearberry, cranberries, ground pine, pine buds (for a period of one month).

Meanwhile fermented juices of watermelon, birch, turnip, parsley root, radish, raspberry, viburnum, rose hip and elderberry are taken.

The procedures are alternated every other month and can be repeated several times.

  1. Nutrition

Eat larger amounts of fresh and lightly salted leaves of coltsfoot in the summer.

Starchy foods such as potatoes, starchy vegetables, rice, pasta and wheat are excluded of your diet, but you can consume bananas, apples, carrots, grapes, beetroot, citruses, legumes, meat, fish, dairy products, nuts and seeds, buckwheat, quinoa.

Moreover, regular consumption of garlic and oregano tea is recommended, as well as homeopathic remedies based on onion. They have antimicrobial action against Klebsiella pneumonia, a virulent microorganism with which the development of the autoimmune process is linked.

Concerning the superfoods, they are allowed – chia seeds, hempseed and flaxseed, einkorn wheat, goji berry, inca berry.

Algae like spirulina are PROHIBITED as they have high immunogenic potencial and are not suitable for people with your disease.

  1. Exercise

You can go for a walk in the forest and the mountain as much as you can.

Hot salt baths are taken at home.

Sample 5 days:

DAY 1

Breakfast:

? apple or other of the allowed fruits

2 egg whites scrambled with cottage cheese and spices

A cup of oregano tea

Lunch:

Large green salad with tuna, poured with 1Tbs. olive oil or flaxseed oil and 2Tbs. balsamic vinegar;

1 glass of the fermented juices, mentioned above

Dinner:

Plenty of fish with vegetables /steamed or raw/

A cup of green tea

Between the main courses:

170g plain yoghurt without sugar

1 banana

DAY 2

Breakfast:

250g yoghurt in which you have added 1 cup of berries from the list + 2Tbs. chia /seeds of salvia or garden sage/

1 cup of the mentioned herbs

Lunch:

Super-salad:

Green leafy vegetables, poured with linseed oil, 1Tbs, flaxseed, 1 Tbs. hempseed, balsamic vinegar, 3-4 quail eggs or 1 chicken egg;

1 cup of oregano tea

Dinner:

A large portion of grilled or baked salmon with plenty of vegetables from the list;

1 cup of ginger tea with lemon

Between the main courses:

1 fruit

1 handful of mixed raw nuts /almonds, cashews, walnuts, macadamia/

DAY3

Breakfast:

Kefir shake /kefir or plain ayran without sugar, strained with fruit by choice and 1 Tbs. chia/

1 cup of the fermented juices, mentioned above

Lunch:

Salad of spinach and/or rucola, cherry tomatoes and crumbled low-fat cheese with dressing of 1 Tbs. olive oil and 2 Tbs. balsamic vinegar

1 cup of green/ginger tea

Dinner:

Turkey meatballs with cucumber salad

1 cup of ginger tea

Between the main courses:

1 cup of berries and 170g yoghurt

DAY4

Breakfast:

1 scrambled egg plus 2 scrambled egg whites, 2 Tbs. cottage cheese and 1 Tbs. bran spelt

1 apple or other fruit

1 cup of green tea

Lunch:

Salad with salmon

2 cups leafy vegetables, cucumbers, baked salmon with dressing of 1 Tbs. olive oil or linseed oil, 2 Tbs. balsamic vinegar or lemon juice

1 cup of the fermented juices mentioned above

Dinner:

Grilled fish /also it may be marinated in dressing, but without fat and pay attention to the salt/

Steamed vegetables

1 cup of herbal tea /organic mint/

Between the main courses:

Kefir shake

Yoghurt /250g/ with 1 Tbs. honey

DAY5

Breakfast:

2 hard-boiled eggs or yoghurt with chia /230g/

? grapefruit

1 cup of the fermented juices mentioned above

Lunch:

Grilled white fish with lemon and olive oil dressing

Vegetable salad /of the allowed vegetables/

1 cup of kombucha tea /you can find it in the organic markets, ginger tea is preferable/

Dinner:

Eggplant baked with parmesan

1 cup of ginger tea with 1 Tbs. honey and lemon

Between the main courses:

1 medium sized pear

A portion of probiotic yoghurt

Regularly consume all of the above listed alkaline infusions and fermented juices according to the scheme! Eat at any time when you are hungry and as much as you want. Alcohol, coffee and cigarettes should not be consumed as well.
