Be careful what you buy!

Always look for 100% natural fruit juices and confectionery with less refined sugar (plain biscuits e.g.).

Limit sweets containing hard margarine (waffles, biscuits with filling, pastries). The reason is that in the process of hardening vegetable oils when these products are manufactured trans fats are formed. These fats are extremely harmful as they increase “bad cholesterol” in blood and if consumed constantly they create conditions for later development of cardiovascular diseases.

If you want to take something sweet, buy honey. Unlike the others carbohydrates, it is rich in bioactive substances with anti-oxidant and antimicrobial action.
